The expanded state cannot be carried as is; it needs to be folded and secured with a zipper closure during transport. You have the option to choose between the regular design and the expandable design. 
 
This bag includes a mini pillow, bottom support, shoulder band, wide cross strap, and an internal safety loop. A companion: A teddy bear can be purchased separately for a cuter look!
 
There is one shoulder cross strap included, but you could also purchase a wide one separately.
